Job Description:

Description:HH-60W Combat Rescue Helicopter (CRH) Contract Academic and Simulator Instructor (CI) Special Missions Aviator (SMA). This position is located at Kirtland AFB (KAFB), New Mexico (NM). Candidate will provide HH-60W SMA instruction to active duty aircrew in systems, operations, Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP) in the classroom, simulator, static aircraft on the flight line, and live fire range. Candidate will assist the CRH Interim Contract Support (ICS) Manager, CRH Site Manager, and CRH courseware team in Instructional Systems Design (ISD) as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the development of classroom, simulator, flight line, and live fire range lessons. This will include student and instructor guides, sortie and live event Sequence of Events (SOE). Candidate will perform other related duties as directed by the management team. US Citizenship is required and Secret security clearance required.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must be current in United States Military (USM) military Rotary Wing (RW) aircraft or simulators within previous 4 years or within previous 1 years, if candidate has performed 20 years of military operational flying duty or contract instruction duty at the time of hire. Candidate must have a minimum of 4,500 hours total Flight Engineer (FE) Primary, Evaluator, and/or Instructor time in USM aircraft. Candidate must have a minimum of 2,000 hours of flight and simulator instructor time in USM aircraft and simulators. Candidate must become familiar with and be capable of instructing required SMA crew positions including traditional Flight Engineer (FE) and Aerial Gunner (AG). Candidate must have knowledge of all appropriate current Air Education and Training Command (AETC)/Major Command (MAJCOM) regulations. Candidate must understand, speak, read and write in English for effective communications with crewmembers. Candidate selected will be subject to a United States Government (USG) security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Candidate must be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DOD) SECRET security clearance prior to starting this position. Obtaining a security clearance requires US citizenship.
Desired Skills:
Candidate will have previous United States Air Force (USAF) or United States Army (USA) SMA or FE experience in either the HH-60W, HH-60U, HH-60T, HH-60S, HH-60M, or HH-60G aircraft. Candidate must have previous Aircrew Training Device (ATD) simulated flight instructor experience. Candidate must have instructed Day/Night Tactical and Civil Service Water Operations (DWOPS/NWOPS), Day/Night Tactical and Civil Service Remote Operations, Contact/Emergency (CEP) Procedures, and Live Fire Gun Armament Unit (GAU)-2 7.62mm, GAU-18, and GAU-21 .50 caliber live fire training. Candidate must be familiar with pilot crew duties/responsibilities and be able to instruct pilot skillsets from back to front. Candidate must have previous Night Vision Goggle (NVG) instructor experience. Candidate will be expected to obtain Crew Resource Management (CRM) Instructor certification. Candidate must have working computer knowledge utilizing Microsoft Office Suit, Patriot Excalibur (PEX), Graduate Training and Integration Management System (GTIMS), and Crew App.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
