Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Controlsequipment systems that process chemical substances into specified products.Monitors the production process and ensures efficiency of systems andequipment. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within aparticular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan andaccomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
  • Works under general supervision.A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Reports to ShiftSupervisor.
    Essential Job Functions
  • Safely operate pumps, compressors, fired heaters, boilers, reactors,distillation columns and other plant equipment within safe operating ranges.
  • Make changes to the operating process as necessary to maintain product quality.Adjust control instruments, valves, or switches to regulate pressure,temperature or flow rate of product; direct flow of product to other units orto maintain specified levels in tanks and towers; operate control roominstrumentation systems and coordinate activities with outside operators.
  • Monitor the performance of plant equipment and process conditions; read flowmeters, and temperature and pressure gauges; take routine readings on processvariables.
  • Promptly respond to process alarms / constraints and plant upsets/emergencies.
  • Co-ordinate with Field Operators to manage daily operations of the facilitysafely and effectively, including normal operations, Start-up, Shutdown andEmergencies
  • Perform general maintenance, repair, and cleanup of plant equipment for safeand efficient operation.
  • Draw samples of products from the process for laboratory testing. Perform labtesting on some products.
  • Be able to understand and follow plant policies and procedures.
  • Be able to troubleshoot problems to determine resolution within safe operatinglimits.
  • Keep management appropriately informed of area activities and of anysignificant problems.
  • Always present a professional image to clients and vendors and maintain apositive reputation of the company.
  • Follow all relevant company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

 

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

You MustHave:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 7 years of Process Operating experience in a chemical facility

WeValue:

  • 2 years of troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing facility
  • Basic working Knowledge of Microsoft package.
  • Basic working Knowledge SAP experience.
  • 2 years of board console experience

Special Considerations: Lifting will exceed 30 Lbs. and/or repetitions of thisor lesser weights will be significant. Exposure to substantial machine,chemical, or other physical risks are anticipated."
