JOB FUNCTION:

The Core Removal Operator must be able to perform all operations and operate equipment efficiently while working in order to keep product moving through departments.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Core removal (autoclave & open bath).
  • Waterblast.
  • Blast
  • Visually inspect all work for obvious defects.
  • Record on a daily basis all work performed by operational codes.
  • Check routing card for accuracy, sign off routing card upon completion of operation being performed, move all castings to next sequentially routed operation.
  • Meet an acceptable level of performance and show proficient understanding of Engineering and Quality instructions.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Keep your work area clean and follow all safety rules.

EDUCATION:

High school education.

EXPERIENCE:

Three months OJT training.

INITIATIVE AND INGENUITY:

Normal initiative and ingenuity.

EFFORT:

Normal effort required.

Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, approximately 5-10 times per hour. Use chain hoist for heavier weights.

RESPONSIBILITY:


Responsible for self. Make sure parts meet quality standards. Must be willing to work daily overtime and weekend overtime as necessary.

JOB CONDITIONS:


Dusty working conditions due to ceramic pieces and dust.
