Customs Process & Systems Expert

Responsibilities - your mission:

Airbus is becoming more and more international with activities all over the globe and in the meantime facing increased constraints such as the on-going trade war, Brexit, increased international footprint, etc.

The Airbus Customs department has to face challenges to ensure customs duties optimization and secure smooth supply chain in line with Airbus&39; activities

This position newly created will be part of a new department mixing IT Specialists and Business Relationship Managers. Your mission is to support this cross-functional team and to support the technical and functional roll-out of new tools to support the Business Customs teams. As a focal point, your activity will require liaising with different Stakeholders through an internal network of existing Customs Experts.

• You will be integrated into a cross-functional team able to support requests of customs needs from various countries through an internal network of existing customs experts

• You will act as a close partner to the Customs business in transformation and improvement projects and as a support to the IT department in solution definition and validation

• You will work closely with the Customs Business representatives to reach an end-to-end digital data management. Additionally, you will, through different activities, collaborate with all departments impacted by Customs processes such as  Transport-Logistic, Manufacturing, Programs, Finances, and Procurement.

• You will be in charge of ensuring application services for Customs applications

Requirements - our ideal candidate will have:

• A degree or experiences in Customs &/or Logistics projects including IT integration

• Knowledge on Customs processes and IT Landscapes (SAP GTS would be a plus)

• Knowledge on Logistic processes Inbound/Outbound/Master data/Inventory and IT (SAP SD/MM)

• The position requires willingness to learn about customs understanding &43; according to functional and technical SAP aspects

• Ability to work on project mode - full project life cycle activities: from concept definition until entry into service

• English is mandatory and an additional Airbus language (French, German, Spanish) would be an asset.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to rapidly establish credibility and trust among a broad range of individuals within the company and through virtual means of communication.

• Awareness and sensitivity to other cultures and ability to effectively work with colleagues in other countries and regions. This ideally includes international and multicultural working and living experience.

• Self-learner, i.e. being self-aware of strengths and weaknesses, being open and receptive to feedback and taking the steps to improve, as necessary.

• Ability to multitask, to work independently and to prioritize under pressure and within timeline constraints.

• Strong in collaborating, capable of both teamwork and working independently.
