TKO is seeking a Data Scientist to support the Cyber Threat Intelligence initiative to support defense of our nation’s most critical unclassified and classified networks. The individual will interpret and manipulate data, analyze data sets, create reports and data visualizations.

The candidate will:
• Produce data visualizations that provide insight into dataset structure and meaning.
• Team with subject matters experts (SMEs) to identify important information in raw data and develop scripts that extract this information from a variety of data formats (e.g., SQL tables, structured metadata, network logs).
• Incorporate SME input into feature vectors suitable for analytic development and testing
• Translate customer qualitative analysis process and goals into quantitative formulations that are coded into software prototypes
• Develop and implement statistical, machine learning, and heuristic techniques to create descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics
• Develop statistical tests to make data-driven recommendations and decisions
• Develop experiments to collect data or models to simulate data when required data are unavailable
• Develop feature vectors for input into machine learning algorithms
• Identify the most appropriate algorithm for a given dataset and tune input and model parameters
• Evaluate and validate the performance of analytics using standard techniques and metrics (e.g. cross validation, ROC curves, confusion matrices)

Required Skills:
• Experience with analysis in the cyber domain and discovery operations
• Experience with algorithm design and development in cloud environments
• Experience with standard analytic techniques and metrics (e.g. cross validation, ROC curves, confusion matrices)

• This position will have up to 60 telework
Basic Qualifications:
Degree from an accredited college or university in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering or computer science) is required.

B.S. degree + 7 years of experience. Experience must include analyzing datasets and developing analytics. Experience must also include programming with data analysis software such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB.

OR

M.S. degree + 5 years of experience. Experience must include analyzing datasets and developing analytics. Experience must also include programming with data analysis software such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB.

OR

PhD + 2 years of experience. Experience must include analyzing datasets and developing analytics. Experience must also include programming with data analysis software such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB.

Required Skills:

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
