Disassembly Operative

Our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisation partner with a range of global customers, working closely with major airlines such as British Airways, easyJet, Wizz Air, Iberia, Vueling, Air Canada, Etihad and Qatar.

What will I be doing?

As part of the Operations Salvage Team the Disassembly Operative is responsible for dismantling aircraft landing gears down to individual components. This includes the stripping of paint and cleaning of parts to deliver on time to the Inspection, NDT and MFF process areas.

Key Responsibilities & Duties;
•tDisassembling complex mechanical parts
•tSetting up tooling fixtures and assist in new tooling design
•tUse of general hand, pneumatic and small electrical tooling
•tWet and dry Paint Stripping, degreasing and cleaning components
•tFollowing component maintenance manuals and engineering layout information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to disassemble complex components
•tUse of Forklift
•tConform to COSHH regulations and safe use of chemicals
•tEnsuring work areas is to 5S standards

Job Requirements:

•\tExperienced in dismantling Mechanical Parts
•\tExcellent communication skills

•\tSelf-managing and reliant
•\tGood problem solving skills
•\tFlexibility
•\tMust be willing to train and take on board new skills
•\tAn understanding of Lean Sigma disciplines and 5s principles
•\tInvolvement in continuous improvement activities to reduce shop processing times and manufacturing hours
•\tYou will be required to work shift rotations comprising of Days, Lates, Nights and when required Weekends
