Job Summary:
The Document Control I performs a variety of routine to moderately complex clerical duties. Supports operations and the document change control process by managing release of documents, ECN’s, drawing parts, designs, test procedures, and assembly procedures in an electronic filing system. The following responsibilities are typical of what this position may be required to perform, however they are not all inclusive.
Essential Functions:
- Operate basic office machines (i.e. printer, computer, copy machine, fax machine)
• Administrative maintenance of the document configuration management system
• Maintain and control filing and storage of manufacturing traceability documents
• Responsible for ensuring the compliance spaning on export manufacturing documents
• Handling of controlled document distribution to the manufacturing areas
• Use of computers for various word processing duties and technical editing duties
• Perform some clerical duties such as light typing, filing, answering phones, messenger service, etc
• Sort, file, and/or pull materials to an alphabetic or numeric system (control / non-control document issuing)
• Interfaces with groups inside and outside the organization
• Any other tasks assigned by supervisor or management
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: 0-2 years’ experience required in an environment that requires attention to detail and focus.
- Knowledge: Proficiency in MS Office. Demonstrated knowledge of both the work processes of document control and also the use of electronic systems used to manage documentation.
- Skills/Abilities: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively perform multiple assignments. Ability to perform repetitive, detailed work with accuracy.
- Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent
- Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Working Conditions:
- Standard office environment
- Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
- Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
- May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
- Standing: 10 *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work
- Sitting: 90 *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work
- Lifting (in pounds): up to 20 pounds

- Mental/Visual: Use of computer and basic office equipment.
