Job Description:

Airbus Mobile Manufacturing Site is looking for an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to work with our EHS Department based in Mobile, AL.

EHS Coordinator will be an integral part of the Mobile Manufacturing Site’s EHS Department and its sustained success of the site’s EHS Management Systems. The role will support the Culture and Governance Manager and will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, and overseeing EHS programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote a safe working environment.

Near ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your challenges:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, documentation, content, and databases related to EHS system activities, including permits, inspections, audits, training records, incident reports, and regulatory filings within EHS Management Systems.

  • Establish and maintain engagement through collaboration with management, employees, and EHS Management Systems relevant stakeholders.

  • Collect and disseminate EHS data to correct stakeholders to track performance, identify trends, and measure the effectiveness of safety programs.

  • Prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies as required.

  • Liaise with involved departments to coordinate the activities according to the risks and opportunities of the EHS Management Systems.

  • Coordinate support and relevant initiatives, including promotion of health and wellness (includes aspects of physical and mental health) including Occupational Medicine, Worker’s compensation and Health Program management.

  • Coordinate the management of the prescription eyewear program relevant to the workforce.

  • Communicate relevant data to achieve goals

  • Monitor and oversee the facility’s EHS incident management (FISH) inputs, ensuring that they are documented, tracked and managed according to established protocols and procedures

  • Generate regular reports of FISH data for trends, metrics and key performance indicators for management review.

  • Coordinate awareness programs, meetings, or workshops to educate and engage employees on the utilization of the system

  • Coordinate with in-situ regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies pertaining to FISH.

  • Coordinate communication of federal, state, and local EHS regulations, internal requirements, inspection, and audit results within the systems.

  • Provide necessary support to Management in pursuance of overall Departmental, Divisional and Company targets.

  • Conduct material orders / movements in the correct priority sequence.

  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external contacts.

  • Develop and maintain a teamwork approach to working with colleagues.

  • Generate new and innovative ideas to enhance and improve the department.

  • Maintain an area effectively and efficiently in line with ‘best practice’ and Company Policy ensuring function is safe, secure, clean and organized.

  • To identify and resolve issues of a problematic nature at onset.

  • To ensure the application of ClickNBuy, FISH and any other business tools consistent with the training received and all work instructions within your possession.

  • To maintain departmental administrative systems and provide accurate documentation in order that support functions can operate efficiently.

  • Achieve set targets and objectives.

  • To provide regular reports on work in progress to the Manager.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

Education:
  • Bachelor&39;s Degree in EHS, engineering, business administration, or other related degree or equivalent amount of experience is required.

Experience:
  • 0-3 years of experience required in support of administrative functions

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
  • Required:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.

  • Ability to develop and follow standard operating procedures.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Google Platform.

  • Ability to work on own initiative with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good organizational skills, ability to prioritize and work effectively within a sometimes pressurized environment, whilst maintaining compliance to company policies and procedures.

  • Because of the changing nature of our business your Job Specification will inevitably change. You will from time to time, be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities as directed by management.

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):
  • Required: Fluency in written and spoken English.
