Position Summary
The EHS intern will enhance the EHS department in numerous ways. They will be a synergist in driving EHS initiatives resulting in improvement of our safety culture. They will be involved in the day-to-day activities as well as strategic developmental deliverables.

- Participate in injury investigations and 5-WHYs to establish root cause.
- Drive close out rates of corrective actions that result from near misses and incidents.
- Assist with creating, facilitating, and administering compliance trainings.
- Assist with managing information in our safety data system.
- Track metrics such as observations, near misses, and incidents.
- Assist with communicating with vendors.
- Assist with daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly inspections.
- Assist with implementing and sustaining safety programs.
- Perform Job Hazard Analysis to identify and decrease risks.
- Assist with chemical and satellite waste management.
- Assist in EHS projects
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Current undergraduate student in their Junior, Senior or Graduate Student year studying Environmental, Heath and Safety or related field.
- Strong interest in EHS
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
