Especialista en Medio ambiente, salud y seguridad (Environment, health and safety)

Job Description:

Seguimiento a cumplimiento de normas, leyes, reglamentos y otros requerimientos aplicables.
 Atiende y da seguimiento a todas las auditorías relacionadas con Seguridad, Salud y Medio Ambiente (autoridades, auditorías internas y auditorías del sistema de gestión).
 Coordina la investigación de accidentes e incidentes ocurridos y da seguimiento al cumplimiento del plan de acción, a fin de evitar su recurrencia.
 Realiza análisis de riesgo a fin de detectar situaciones de riesgo, en caso necesario, genera y da seguimiento al plan de trabajo para mejorar las condiciones detectadas.
 Coordina las diferentes brigadas de acuerdo a la normatividad aplicable.
 Coordina y ejecuta simulacros en planta acorde a la normatividad aplicable.
 Imparte cursos de capacitación al personal sobre temas generales de Seguridad y Medio Ambiente.
 Seguimiento a programa de identificación de riesgos Safety Ghost.
 Da recorridos diarios en planta a fin de identificar actos y condiciones inseguras documentando resultados a
través de las tarjetas de observación de Seguridad/Tarjetas Safety Ghost.
 Coordina y da seguimiento a los recorridos de la Comisión de Seguridad e Higiene.
 En conjunto con ejecutante y supervisores responsables; libera y supervisa trabajos de personal contratista.
 Apoya y/o ejecuta campañas de promoción en temas de EHS.
 Realiza y mantiene actualizados los procedimientos de seguridad y medio ambiente.
 Establecer, implementar y mantener un sistema de Gestión ambiental.
 Mantener actualizado el Sistema de Gestión Ambiental cuando se planifican e implementan cambios y evaluar sus consecuencias.
 Asegurar la identificación, acceso, documentación e integración de los requisitos legales y otros aplicables.

 Realizar la identificación de partes interesadas, sus requisitos y expectativas y dar seguimiento a su cumplimiento de acuerdo a lo establecido en el Sistema de Gestión Ambiental.
 Revisar el Sistema de Gestión Ambiental y asegurarse de su conveniencia, adecuación, mejora y eficacia y asegurar que el Sistema de Gestión Ambiental logre los resultados previstos.
 Definir la competencia del personal necesaria para la ejecución de los procesos y que puedan afectar al Sistema de Gestión Ambiental.
 Coordinar la ejecución del plan de capacitación en materia ambiental.
 Asegurar la comunicación interna y externa, toma de conciencia y la evaluación de su efectividad de los elementos del sistema de gestión ambiental (política, objetivos, partes interesadas, contexto, desempeño del
SGA, respuesta a la emergencia, requisitos legales, gestión de riesgos, etc.).
 Asegurar la ejecución de la revisión por la dirección del Sistema de Gestión Ambiental
 Determinar, controlar y mantener disponible la información (objetivos, políticas, registros, procedimientos, programas, etc.) coherente y confiable para su uso de origen interno y externo
 Hacer uso adecuado de los recursos (agua, energía, etc).
 Reportar condiciones inseguras que impacten al medio ambiente.

 Follow up compliance of rules, laws and other applicable requirements.
 Attend and provide follow up to all audits related with health, safety and environment (authorities, internal audits and management system audits).
 Coordinates the investigation of accidents and incidents occurred and provide follow up to compliance of action plan to avoid recurrence.
 Perform risk analysis to detect risk situations, as well as follow up the work plan for improve the conditions detected.
 Coordinates the different emergency brigades according to applicable law.
 Coordinates and executed emergency drills of the company according to applicable law.
 Imparts training courses to employees’ about safety and environment topics.
 Follow up of the risk identification program "Safety Ghost".
 Daily safety walks in plant to identify unsafe acts and conditions by documenting results through Safety Observation Cards.
 Coordinates and provide follow up safety and hygiene commission walks.
 Release and supervise works of contractor’s in concert with the employees and supervisors.
 Executed and provide support to EHS campaigns.
 Make and maintain updated safety and environment procedures.
 Establish, implement and maintain an environmental management system.
 Keep the Environmental Management System updated when changes are planned and implemented and evaluate their consequences.
 Ensure the identification, access, documentation and integration of the legal and other applicable requirements.

 Carry out the identification of interested parties, their requirements and expectations and monitor their compliance in accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Management System.
 Review the Environmental Management System and ensure its suitability, adequacy, improvement and effectiveness and ensure that the Environmental Management System achieves the expected results.
 Define the competence of the personnel necessary for the execution of the processes and that may affect the Environmental Management System.
 Coordinate the execution of the environmental training plan.
 Ensure internal and external communication, awareness and evaluation of the effectiveness of the elements of the environmental management system (policy, objectives, stakeholders, context, performance of the EMS, emergency response, legal requirements, risk management, etc.)
 Ensure the execution of the review by the direction of the Environmental Management System
 Determine, control and keep the information (objectives, policies, records, procedures, programs, etc.) available, consistent and reliable for internal and external use.
 Make proper use of resources (water, energy, etc.)
 Report unsafe conditions that impact the environment.
