We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Protection (EP) Officer to join our Corporate Security team at our corporate office location of Falls Church, VA. This role will manage residential and personal protection for senior Executive Leadership Team (ELT) members and provide EP services as required. The ideal candidate will bring a strong executive protection background, collaborative mindset, and proactive approach to security operations.
This role requires flexibility, including occasional travel, extended hours, and the ability to respond promptly to evolving security needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Residential and Personal Protection: Manage the residential and personal security of ELT members with a focus on discretion and professionalism.
Executive Protection Services: Provide tailored EP services for ELT members and Board of Directors as required, including planning and execution.
Collaboration on Security & Safety: Work closely with internal stakeholders to enhance physical security and safety measures at the Corporate Headquarters.
Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as a key contact with Executive Assistants, Communications, Facilities, and Security leadership, ensuring seamless coordination on security-related matters.
Community Partnerships: Act as a liaison with local and federal law enforcement, intelligence community (IC) representatives, and security organizations to stay informed on potential risks and leverage shared resources.
Intelligence Analysis: Review intelligence reports and provide actionable recommendations to mitigate risks to ELT members and company assets.
Event Security: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive security planning and execution for corporate events.
Leadership & Management: Report to the Executive Protection Program Manager, leading initiatives or operations as necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 6+ years of relevant experience in Executive Protection roles.
Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, a DOD Top Secret level security clearance as a condition of continued employment.
Relevant and active Virginia Dept of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) Armed PPS certifications (include “99” number on resume).
Current HR218 or Virginia Concealed Carry License.
Possess a current Driver’s License with a clean record.
Possess or be able to obtain a valid Passport.
Demonstrated self-management skills, with the ability to support in a high-performing team.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with a track record of building effective relationships at all organizational levels.
Ability to work independently and under pressure while maintaining composure and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
ASIS CPP, PSP, Certified Executive Security Specialist preferred.
Active First Responder, Paramedic or EMT certifications.
Graduate of FLETC, ESI, EPI or similar school.
Experience liaising with law enforcement and intelligence agencies is a significant advantage.
Management experience supporting an EP team is a plus.
Familiarity with intelligence analysis, risk assessment, and security best practices strongly preferred.
Salary Range: $83,600 - $139,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
