Position Summary

The Multi-spindle Machinist will set up and operate multi spindle screw machines such as Acme Gridley, Davenport, New Britain and should be able to cross train to our Index MS-25’s fairly easily) Also, tool grinding experience is preferred and an understanding of GD&T and part drawings.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate a Multispindle Screw machine for medium-high volume production.
  • Notify supervisor of abnormal situations for corrective action.
  • Make recommendations for improvements in methods of performance of work.
  • Maintain good housekeeping conditions and enforce safety practices.
  • Complete and maintain any required documentation.
  • PCC Corporate Safety Training.

Minimum Education or Experience

  • 5 years of experience on set up and operation of a Multi-spindle Screw machine with lot quantities that exceed 100+ units
  • Strong Geometric Dimensional & Tolerances, and math skills
  • Understanding of basic tabletop gages – Micrometers, Calipers, Sunnen gages, bore micrometers
  • Ability to read machining CNC programs and have a basic understanding of common “G” and “M” codes
  • Experience with Siemens controls for lathe machine tools, preferred
  • Experience with Index Multispindle machines, preferred
  • Experience with Haas Lathes, and Index Lathes preferred

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $26.50 to $39.75 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company&39;s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
