Job Overview
As a Facilities Helper at AEVEX Aerospace, you will support the implementation of the 5S program to sort, straighten, shine, standardize, and sustain. You will work in a collaborative environment, supporting the safe operations of the facility.
Essential Functions:
- Provide day-to-day general facility maintenance
- Service, clean and stock restrooms, kitchens or other areas of the building and grounds
- Perform regular inspections of facility and equipment to maintain a safe working environment
- Identify and repair any potential safety or security hazards
- Operate utility vehicles and power tools, as required.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment
- Ensure that all work is done efficiently and adheres to aviation safety regulations and industry best practices
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform routine repairs and maintenance
- Ability to take directions and follow through on assigned tasks to completion
- Ability to read and understand written text and instructions
- Effective communication a nd organizational skills
- Ability to work with a team or independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Strong work ethic and integrity
- Valid drivers license
Education / Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
- 0-2 years facilities or entry level mechanic related experience
