How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) As a Facilities Technician, you are responsible for maintaining, repairing and ensuring the efficient operation of the airport’s physical infrastructure. This role involves a wide range of duties, including routine maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems across Delta facilities and hangars. Compliance with safety regulations and standards set by Metropolitan Airports Commissions and the State of Minnesota key responsibility, requiring regular inspections and safety checks. Their work is essential to the smooth operation and safety of the airport environment.Delta will be offering a $2,500 sign-on bonus to new hires!Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):Assign, lead, direct, escort, and approve work of technicians and third-party project contractorsFollow up on assigned tasks through completion including reporting results of daily assigned tasks to management in a timely manner. Communicate unfinished tasks to next shift techniciansEnsure the maintenance management system if applicable, is updated dailyMaintain, alter, repair, install and assemble all equipment and building systems associated with the facilities infrastructurePerform basic repairs to maintain physical appearance of the facility. Familiarity with facilities equipment and infrastructure to perform such work at Delta Air Lines as requiredEnsure continuous reliability of Facilities Maintenance Operations through required maintenance and repairs while following all Delta Air Lines policy and all local state and federal guidelinesPractices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and proceduresMaintain, alter, repair or assemble and operate applicable equipment or fixtures for which facilities maintenance operations are responsible. This includes but is not limited to; HVAC; Chilled Water Systems; Hot Water Heating Systems; Pumps; Refrigeration; Basic Plumbing; Fire Protection Systems; Electrical Systems from 50 to 13,800 volts; Emergency or back-up Generators; Transformers; and Manual/ Automatic Transfer SwitchesPerform work at acceptable quality and productivity standards as communicated by facilities managementMaintain a satisfactory record of regulatory training in facilities maintenance operations and all safety training requiredMaintain, monitor and operate the building management systemInternal Movement Eligibility:Must be in good standing in current position (no formal performance development – Written Coaching Letter, Corrective Action Notice, or Final Corrective Action notice - within the past 6 months)Must be in current role for at least 1 year

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Possession of a Class 1C Boiler license is a MUST issued by the State of MinnesotaSupervision required for 1 to 1.5 years to accumulate the necessary experience and work hours to qualify for the 1B Boiler license examinationCurrent hiring 3rd shift 10pm to 6am; some weekendsValid Driver’s License and good driving record required.Demonstrates that privacy is a priority when handling personal data.Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking and styles.Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority.Electrician License, Gas Pipe License, Steam Pipe License, Refrigerant License, or Locksmith License. Ability to maintain, repair, alter, assemble, install and operate applicable equipment for which facilities maintenance is responsible. Work in confined spaces and at heights exceeding 75 feet.
