Amentum is seeking a Firefighter - Paramedic to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission in Andros Island, Bahamas. AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newports largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments. The Firefighter-EMT is responsible for responding to fires, rescue, and emergency medical needs of the AUTEC Community to include Range User personnel and assets on the AUTEC project. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform general structural and aircraft firefighting and rescue duties and responsibilities through a variety of established techniques and approaches under the supervision of a company officer.
Respond to medical emergencies and performs advanced pre-hospital patient care in accordance with established protocols and standard procedures.
Respond to Hazardous Materials emergencies and perform offensive and defensive control and containment tasks.
Respond to water borne POL spills and operate watercraft and deploy boom and other materials to control, contain, and recover spilled product.
Drive a variety of fire apparatus, ambulances, and related vehicles to emergency and non-emergency incidents in a safe and professional manner.
Operate fire apparatus pumps and appliances to produce required fire flow demands.
Perform basic daily operator inspections and maintenance on fire apparatus; clean, wash, and service equipment, inspect, test, and maintain equipment and pumps including but not limited to nozzles, appliances, fittings, fire extinguishers, hand and power tools, ropes, ladders, emergency lighting equipment, generators, rescue and first aid and related equipment.
Flow-test fire hydrants and fire sprinkler systems, pressure testing of hoses, and weight certification of ladders. Inspection technical rescue equipment, HazMat Equipment, and any other specialized tools and equipment.
Perform facility fire prevention inspections and related services as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 2 years experience working as a Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician.
Must hold National Registry – EMT-A or Paramedic certification.
Must have DoD or IFSAC Fire Fighter I and II, Airport Firefighter, and HazMat Operations Certifications.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.
Valid Drivers License and U.S. passport are required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
