Description:Lockheed Martin Global Financial Services (GFS) is responsible for providing Fixed Assets management services to various Lockheed Martin business area partners. This positions primary responsibility is to provide fixed asset related support to multiple GFS Fixed Assets business areas.

This position is primarily responsible for providing successful support for various Lockheed Martin business areas. Position will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- timely and accurate capitalization, transfer, maintenance and retirement of fixed assets
- validating calculations of appropriate depreciation of fixed assets for both financial and tax purposes
- reviewing and validating of capital expenditure requests (CER) and work-package setup
- supporting the transfer of assets via IBS
- assisting with manual calculation of activity related to fixed assets (such as Cost of Money)
- maintaining, analyzing, and troubleshooting accounting transactions
- performing monthly account reconciliations
- supporting preparation of tax packets with Fixed Assets data
- performing analysis of metrics and preparing recurring fixed assets reports to be shared with business partners
- building effective relationships with customers

Additional responsibilities and special projects will be assigned as needed to support the organization.

This is a fast paced, challenging position where the candidate must be a high performer and quick learner. The candidate must be able and willing to support and meet tight deadlines on a continuous basis while staying focused on internal (fixed assets team) and external (Business area/site, FAR, etc.) policies and procedures. An ability to work effectively both independently and in a supportive, diverse team environment is expected. The employee will be expected to master various systems and processes while providing excellent customer service and maintaining frequent contact with business partners. The candidate will also be expected to maintain required financial controls and to support audits as necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
-Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree
-Effective analytical skills demonstrated through related experience
-Ability to multi-task
-Effective Microsoft Office skills including Excel
-Experience / knowledge of accounting entries and related impacts

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
