What you will do:
- Monitor the progress of flights and communicate as required with the flight crew, air traffic controllers, regulatory agencies, and service vendors.
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of operational flight plans.
- Identify aircraft experiencing difficulties. Establish and maintain communication with air traffic control towers and area control centers in case of in-flight emergency.
- Assist pilots in the preparation of flight by providing pre-flight information concerning current and forecast weather conditions, airport conditions, radio frequencies movement coordination, customs and immigration and landing authorization from Civil Aviation Authority.
- Collect, and maintain operational flight plans, aircraft journey logs, and trip itineraries as per Transport Canada requirements.
What you bring:
- Completion of post-secondary education - aviation program will be considered an asset.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Customer Service.
- Proficient with the use of e-mail software and Microsoft suite.
- Ability to concentrate and maintain detail orientation and accuracy in a fast-paced office environment while working among other flight coordinators.
- Proactive team player who takes initiative, applies logical thinking and finds resolution for day-to-day challenges.
Hours of Work:
Work hours will be on rotational 12-hour shifts in a “554” scheme that includes morning, afternoon and night shifts.
