Tasks
The Flight Optimizer is responsible for:
- Evaluates individual booking queues under consideration of operational, economic and quality specifications
- Where required calculates and adjusts the gross volume for bookings
- Reacts appropriately to capacity changes (e.g. equipment and schedule changes)
- Blocks space and weight for certain bookings
- Optimizes individual flights under observance of regulations
- Completes and transfers flights to the load planning department under consideration of shipment ranking in case of planned or unplanned overbooking
- Improves the loadfactor by accepting freight onto earlier flights
- Where required contacts the Revenue Manager to adjust the overbooking parameters
- Identifies and communicates process barriers within RM processes to his regional process manager
* Participate in other duties as assigned
Requirements
The ideal Flight Optimizer should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, Master desirable
- Advanced English and Chinese required, German desirable
- 0-3 years’ work experience in the airline industry desirable
- Analytical and conceptual thinking
- Ability to combine strategic thinking with operational action
- Advanced communication skills
- Knowledge of business administration and performance management
- Teamwork spirit incl. high responsibility
- Computer skills as a user
- Must possess a legal work permit in China
- Willing to work shifts
