Joby’s Flight Research team is seeking a dedicated and innovative graduate student to join as Software and Controls Intern. The intern will develop software to help advance flight controls and trajectory optimization algorithms for flight automation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of flight control software (C++) including guidance and trajectory optimization to help advance flight automation capabilities.
- Collaborate with the software & controls team to implement software solutions in simulation and real-world flight tests.
- Design and implement analysis tools (Python) to quickly bring flight software to maturity.
- Participate in the analysis and interpretation of test data to inform future developments.
Required
- Strong foundation in control theory, software development, and aerospace systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages C++ and Python.
Desired
- Currently pursuing a graduate level degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Control Systems or related field.
The pay range for undergraduate interns, which includes freshman to senior level students, is $20-32/hr. The pay range for graduate interns with a Bachelor, Master, and/or Ph.D. degree is $5,400-$7,500/month.
