Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to provide support to Chelmsford Operations in all Human Resources initiatives. This position will primarily support functional client groups within Production Operations. Partnering with the HR Site Lead, the successful candidate will be a champion of Lockheed Martins culture and values. The HR Business Partner will deliver HR initiatives and processes in the areas of employee relations, talent acquisition, new employee orientation, talent management, promotion planning, performance management, salary planning, training, development, and rewards and recognition. The HR Business Partner will also work closely with employees to confidentially address concerns, investigate and resolve complaints, and provide support, coaching, and guidance to functional leadership in addressing employee relations, organizational and HR-related issues.

The individual selected for this position must be a self-starter with the ability to effectively communicate and influence, build strong relationships at all levels within the organization and become a trusted advisor. The individual must possess HR functional knowledge and be able to leverage subject matter experts from HR Centers of Expertise to formulate recommendations and offer effective solutions. The individual must be a collaborative team player who is able to understand business acumen, demonstrate emotional intelligence, and practice a growth mindset.

The Locale: Chelmsford, Massachusetts is a charming suburb of Boston located about 25 miles northwest of that city. Chelmsford is very close to historic Lowell Massachusetts and to Nashua, New Hampshire. Chelmsford is within reach of New Hampshire’s White Mountains and awesome ski areas to the north, and the scenic coastal towns of MA and NH are about an hour east. This scenic colonial region offers lots of New England charm, great schools, shopping, and restaurants. Chelmsford and the area share an impressive past from the early days after the pilgrims arrived in Plymouth to the revolutionary war. Where can you get to from Chelmsford? Chelmsford is about 90 minutes from Cape Cod. Boston is about 30 minutes to the east without traffic. New York City is about 4.5 hours away from Chelmsford. Waterville Valley and other major ski resorts of New Hampshire and Vermont are about 2 to 3 hours to the north. It should be noted that Chelmsford, Massachusetts is approximately 35 miles northwest of the Boston metropolitan area and offers better access to a wide range of substantially more affordable regions in the area to live. Those regions include Northeastern, North Central Massachusetts, and Southern, New Hampshire.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college with at least 2 years of professional experience;
- Professional experience in Human Resources, preferably as an HR Business Partner
- Experience in employee relations
- Knowledge of HR disciplines, Employment, and Labor laws, and understanding of basic HR philosophies
- Experience with MS Office tools, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with HRIS Systems such as PeopleSoft, or SAP
- Ability to maintain a high sense of integrity, urgency, and confidentiality
- Candidate must have the ability to obtain a government security clearance and be able to obtain an Interim Secret prior to starting in the role (US citizenship is required).
Desired Skills:
- Experience in functional HR such as Compensation, Labor Relations, Staffing, Diversity/Inclusion or HRIS
- Advanced degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or related degree
- PHR/SPHR certification
- Basic understanding of various employment laws (such as ADA, FLSA, Title VII, FMLA)
- Prior experience in HR supporting manufacturing or production
- Green Belt/Continuous Improvement training
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
