Job Description

Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the incumbent will support the Business Partner and Labour Relations teams in the various spheres of Human Resources, such as, but not limited to discipline management, performance management, attendance management, the monitoring of upcoming deadlines and the first level coordination with the managers on various subjects related to Human Resources. In addition, the coordinator will play a pivotal role with upper management and will be called upon to contribute on various optimization projects which will support front-line management.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures a constant support to the business partners and the labour relations consultants in the various spheres of Human Resources management;
  • Coordinates all the necessary follow-ups related to the team activities including but not limited to litigation files and the preparation of investigative and grievance related files;
  • Accompany managers on front line files while constantly monitoring the status of the files;
  • Play a central role in the management and application of various administrative practices required for the smooth running of team operations;
  • Collaborates on various optimization and tool development projects for the team and managers;
  • Takes on the responsibility for all follow-ups arising from deadlines, committees and documentation for various management files;
  • Provides support to the Human Resources Director as needed;
  • Supports teams in the application and management of various programs, policies and simple interpretations of the different collectives agreements;
  • Participate in the various projects within the Human Resources team.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial relations or Human Resources;
  • 3 to 5 years of experience related to a position in a unionized environment (an asset);
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Teamwork and collaborative approach;
  • Strong focus on constant collaboration in a partnership context;
  • Rigorous and results oriented;
  • Ability to handle several files at the same time;
  • Fluency in French and English (oral and written) *A written French test will be administered as part of the recruitment process;
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office software.
