The job holder will lead a team of quality inspectors and certifying staff within Satair. 

Our mission is to serve all Satair customers with the highest quality for spare parts in the aviation industry. 

What the job is …

  • Leading a team of 9&43; experienced and motivated quality inspectors and certifying staff. All are located in Copenhagen

  • Manage and structure the daily operations to ensure the best customer satisfaction without compromising quality

  • Act as interface to the world wide HO Quality Management community, especially providing transparency on current levels of performance and any issues not possible to solve locally

  • Act as interface to stakeholders across the company in Copenhagen, USA, Canada and Singapore, ensuring efficient collaboration, consolidating team inputs to improvement projects or managing conflicts 

  • Ensure inspection of finished products to ensure conformance with TCCA/FAA/EASA Part 21G specifications, established quality standards and customer requirements; 

  • Contribute to the resolution of customer complaints and Supplier quality problems 

  • Conduct Root cause analysis, PPS, eg. to structured identify, drive and implement process improvements 

  • Data Engineering within big data platforms i.e. Skywise, SAC in order to foster a data-driven organization and foundation for decision making.

  • Quality expertise and mindset – experience in conducting tests; inspecting products; manage con-conformance; evaluate quality and performance of services or processes or similar.

  • Resilient and able to manage stressful situations without compromising  

  • Critical thinking and complex problem solving – root cause analysis, developing and evaluating strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions and approaches to non-conformance problems

  • Aerospace Industry & Design – knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of aerospace components. Experience with industry standards and requirements eg. EN9120, EASA, TCCA.

  • A solid knowledge of IT systems (SAP, Google Suite etc.)

 

Due to the international environment, an excellent command of both written and spoken English is mandatory.

 

Ideally, you have

  • 5-7 years of knowledge of aircraft operations, systems and practices

  • 2&43; years of work experience within a quality function 

  • Knowledge of EN91xx standards and aviation industry requirements

  • An associate degree, two years of university or technical school within aerospace engineering, system engineering, Quality Management or similar.

  • Had your first experience with people management in a similar role or as team lead etc.


How you will contribute to the team

We are looking for an experienced Team Leader with a good understanding of and demonstrated work experience within Quality and Logistics Management. If you have the willingness to deep-dive into a broad variety of transversal subjects you will guide the motivated team on their journey to deliver outstanding quality to our customers. 

Because you design the future of Satair, strategic and structured thinking needs to be in balance with strong stakeholder management skills. We expect you to have excellent communications skills in English 

Travel activities may occur in a limited scope.

 

The team works in normal weekly business working hours.
