Role Overview:
Reporting to the HR Business Partner Manager, this position will play a key role in shaping the company culture and advancing the HR function. This role serves as a strategic advisor to internal stakeholders, building strong client relationships and providing HR solutions that enable our teams to achieve business objectives.
The ideal candidate brings strong generalist experience, with the ability to implement and manage HR initiatives, policies, and procedures effectively. You are a team player, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a proactive approach to making a positive impact within the organization.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Head Office at Toronto Pearson Airport.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as a trusted partner to management, understanding business goals and ensuring that HR strategies are closely aligned with company objectives.
- Offer expert guidance and coaching on people-related matters, supporting managers to effectively implement the companys People and Culture initiatives.
- Play a key role in the Talent Management program by overseeing the full recruitment cycle for client roles, while supporting talent mobility and performance excellence.
- Provide proactive support in resolving employee relations matters, ensuring alignment with relevant legislation and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance efficiency, foster collaboration, and ensure adherence to key people-related processes and requirements.
- Contribute to our People Strategy by identifying areas for improvement and implementing forward-thinking solutions within assigned client groups.
- Actively support continuous improvements and best practices within the HR department, working to refine and enhance existing HR policies and programs.
What you bring:
- Post-Secondary education in Business, Human Resources or related discipline with at least 4 years of related progressive experience; CHRP designation is an asset
- Experience in a range of areas including full cycle recruitment, talent movement, employee performance, employee relations, HR administration, and HR project management
- Knowledge of employment legislation, HR and business best practices, with ability to apply in a relevant and practical manner
- Solid problem-solving skills combined with a results-driven, continuous improvement approach
- Strong judgment and discretion dealing with sensitive, confidential information
- Highly effective communication skills including listening, verbal, written and presentation
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to influence and advise stakeholders while providing solutions
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing HR initiatives
- Flexibility, with ability to work effectively with ambiguity and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR Systems, with ability to leverage data for business insights
