If you were to measure the cool factor of working at PAL, you might be surprised – as one of the best kept secrets in the local market, we work with teams who are building one-of-a-kind aircraft, technology and engineering design to support clients from one corner of the world to the other.  We are looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in St. John&39;s, NL. The Human Resources Business Partner role provides advice and guidance to leadership on all functions of HR. This requires maintaining positive relationships between the management team and employees as well as staying current with all applicable federal regulations and internal policies and programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with assigned business groups to provide organizational development support and act as a strategic HR advisor.
  • Provide employee relations case management including conducting investigations and delivery of outcomes.
  • Advise managers on performance management cases.
  • Engage in workforce planning, maintaining an awareness of workforce demographics, and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate and advise on all HR policies and programs for assigned business groups, including but not limited to, accommodations, training, exit interviews, HR policy introductions, recruitment & selection and performance management etc.
  • Act as a stakeholder for analysis, development, and implementation of HR policy and programs as required.
  • Work closely with management and employees on engagement initiatives.
  • Create visibility for the HR Department on the front-line including base and site visits. Travel may be required.
  • Execute change management initiatives and coordinate change management processes.
  • Support full lifecycle recruitment along with the hiring managers and recruitment team.
  • Provide leadership effectiveness consulting.
  • Analyze and measure HR-specific metrics.
  • Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a relevant post-secondary degree or diploma; a focus on Human Resources is considered an asset.
  • 3-5 years previous experience in a Human Resources Generalist type role.
  • CPHR designation desired or CPHR candidate working towards designation.
  • Strong confidence in providing HR direction and advice to leaders and employees.
  • Excellent detail orientation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain security clearance.
