We are seeking an experienced Guidance, Navigation and Control Engineer with subject matter expertise in Air and Missile Defense Fire Control software and systems integration for a part-time need.

The PAC-3 family of missiles are the only combat proven Hit-to-Kill interceptors that defend against incoming threats, including tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and aircraft through direct body-to-body contact delivering exponentially more kinetic energy on the target than can be achieved with blast-fragmentation kill mechanisms.

This position requires a current DoD Secret clearance, therefore, U.S. citizenship is required.

What You’ll Do:

• Support the integration, test, verification and validation of the system and various subsystems, including ground system fire control algorithms, ground system software, and environments through the 6-Degree of Freedom (6-DOF) Integrated Flight Simulations (IFS), Hardware In-the-Loop (HWIL) Lab and actual flight tests

• Work with a team to develop robust algorithms to improve system performance

• Support IAMD Lead Systems Engineers in program execution efforts
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an expert, authority in discipline.

- Demonstrated expertise with one or more Air and Missile Defense Systems.

- Demonstrated expertise in areas of missile guidance and fire control for Air and Missile Defense Systems.

- Experience with Defense Acquisition Development Cycle.

-A Final Secret Clearance is required for this position.

**This is a Part Time Position.

- Strong knowledge of MFC Systems Engineering best practices and procedures

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
