INTERNSHIP + MASTER ON COMPOSITE MATERIALS 2021 - 11th Edition

Job Description:

This AIRBUS GROUP Special Program consist on 1 year of Master in Composite Material jointly organized with Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) and 11 months of internship in AIRBUS GROUP.

Objective:

To prepare high quality trained postgraduates with skills to work efficiently on the research, design and development of composite structures.

The Master&39;s content has been chosen to give a sound understanding of all aspects of composites Industries.

The Master focuses on the aerospace industry although the contents and processes are also applicable to other high tech industrial sectors.

The course is oriented to graduates in engineering, materials science, physics or chemistry.

Teaching Staff:

Since the 80&39;s, employees of different AIRBUS GROUP business units located near Madrid have accumulated a vast amount of practical experience in Composites and their expertise is internationally recognized Teaching staff with an average of 15 years of experience on design, analysis and manufacturing of composite aircraft structures (e.g. A320, EFA, A380, A350, A400, etc):

- Experts from University

- AIRBUS GROUP Divisions

- FIDAMC

- Other aerospace industries

Master&39;s Programme:

1ST TERM Constituents Materials and Characterization. Manufacturing processes for polymer matrix composites structures. Design of advanced composites structures.  2ND TERM Numerical simulation techniques. Analysis of advanced composites structures. Production management: Lean manufacturing. Certification of aircraft composites structures.  3RD TERM In service behaviour and repairs. Project management and Quality control. Metal matrix composites (MMC), Ceramic matrix composites (CMC).Smart composites. Applications for Space structures. Concurrent engineering. Environmental regulations. Nanocomposites and biocomposites. Recycling. Health and safety.  Master Thesis Individual assignements equivalent to 27 ECTS (June-December )

Fees:

Total fees for the Master are 9.900

Internship daily time: 7h/day

Financial aid: 875 gross/month

Skills

Entry requirements:

- A degree in engineering, technical engineering, chemistry or physics finished.

- High level of English and Spanish.

- French and/or German will be taken into consideration.
