The role:

IOC Crew Executive

An exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the airline within Coordinated Operations Control handling the Crewing Operation for our 24/7 Global Network. The team within the IOC have the responsibility to control the BA global operation, allocating aircraft and crew, planning flights and managing disruption to protect the customer proposition.

With flights to over 200 destinations and up to 800 daily departures, no two days are the same and the role is key to ensure we have all of our flights crewed in line with company and regulatory requirements. The role has good variety, rotating through planning and the on the day operational positions covering either our short-haul or long-haul programme to reliably deliver the operation for our customers

What you’ll do:
  • Allocate Flight Crew or Cabin Crew to trips whilst carrying out checked to ensure this is done in a compliant, legal and efficient manner
  • First point of contact for operating crew needing to contact the IOC for operational queries that arise and escalating anything to the crew controller as required
  • Support the crew supervise working as a team to action tasks as advised to ensure appropriate resourcing of crew to the operation
  • Ensure systems are up to date and provide regular and accurate reporting to crew controllers to support decision making
  • Ensure that crew trips meet regulatory, legal and industrial rules
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
  • Proficient in the use of sophisticated operational systems
  • Able to operate within a defined set of rules / parameters to ensure compliance in a regulated industry
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to explain and influence external partners.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or as an individual.
  • Excellent planning and forecasting skills.
  • Sound knowledge of Operations business & systems.
  • High level of analytical skills and logical development of solutions and evaluation of scenarios.
Your experience:

We are looking for candidates who have experience in an operational control or crewing background, who enjoy the excitement of the operation and want to work with our Flight Operations and Inflight Customer Experience Teams in responding to changes in our operating plan.
