Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an  IT Support (Contract) to join our Customer Services team, based in Herndon, Virginia.

Meet the team:

The Customer Support team provides aircraft operations support throughout the aircraft&39;s operational life. The team coordinates, implements and monitors all services customized to meet the customer’s specific needs, to ensure a positive customer relationship. Our Field Service teams provide technical support so our customers can operate safely and efficiently. Being based at our customers&39; facilities enables us to have a strong customer relationship and understanding of the airline&39;s technical and operational needs.

Your challenges:

Central aspects of the job:

  • Supporting your colleagues with IT Incidents and Service Requests

  • Drive and coordinate Major Incidents to ensure that we inform our colleagues (internally/externally) and get the Major Incident at hand resolved

  • Assist our colleagues in Infrastructure & Operations on tasks where hands are needed

  • Ensure asset management is done according to our processes

  • Ensure that IAM activities are done with proper attention and care

  • Capture and share knowledge through written Knowledge Articles

  • Work closely with the different Service Desks within the organization of Airbus

Your boarding pass:
  • Broad understanding of IT (hardware, software, network, communication)

  • A good understanding of the following will be an advantage: 

    • Network topics such as DHCP, and DNS

    • Printer troubleshooting and Print Management

  • 1&43; years experience within IT Support

  • Ideally, experience with IT Asset Life Cycle Management (CMDB)

  • Ideally, experience with writing documentation, as this experience will be required when writing knowledge articles.

  • ITIL Foundation certified

  • Bachelor or at least 1 years of work experience within IT

  • Fluent in English both written and verbally

  • Written skills that demonstrates structure

  • Can offer valid references to attest your skills/personality
