IT Technical Architect

Job Description:

A position of IT Technical Architect has just been opened within Airbus India for Information Management (IM) for Airbus Programmes, Customer Engagement & Services. Our mission is to deliver and contribute to innovative IT solutions that support their digital transformation and efficient operations in front of our Airlines customers. You will join the Technical data Authoring & Production product in charge of the applications portfolio allowing Airlines customers to their maintenance documentation. You will be part of the team in charge of operational activities to secure the run operation and project deployment. In this context, you will have to design the technical and operational solution in reply to project requirements, and support its deployment according to the project planning. The candidate will have to learn the architecture of Technica l Data Authoring & ProductionPortfolio and its functional in Airbus ecosystem and context. The main responsibility is to understand the business/applications needs and propose the corresponding IT solution in line with Enterprise Architecture, strategy and objectives. You will be operationally attached to the IM India organization supporting the Technical Data Product Service Line (DCTB based in Toulouse). Travels to France (Toulouse) are likely to happen for your mission based on project or operational needs. Qualification & Experience: We seek out curious minds. Must have skills: ● Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant field with 8-12 years of total experience in Information Technology ● Capacity to understand technical and operational Systems (Linux servers, Database, monitoring …) in order to design or update the technical architecture ● Good communication and collaborative skills and a team-minded attitude ● Capacity to translate complex technical requests into solutions and potential impact ● Capacity to understand and learn functional technical data dispatch ecosystem ● Advanced level of English ● Capacity to be proactive to propose solutions ● Quick learner who can learn a new technology/skill/application ● Good skills in customer satisfaction Good to have skills: ● Already experienced working in remote with colleagues based in EU is a plus ● Experience in project management, ● Good knowledge or experiences in the following technologies o System : Linux redhat, Windows, Storages o Languages : Java, Batch o Database : Oracle ,Postgre o Monitoring : Splunk, Kibana,... o Automation : Control -M, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, Tower o Cloud & containers : AWS and openshift ● Experiences in test automation Responsibilities 1. Analyze and understand projects needs, applications data flow, interfaces and the infrastructure needs 2. Design technical architecture of the application using the best of the art combination of technologies and in line with Airbus Information technology strategy (Security by design, Digitalization, Infrastructure on premises, in the future Cloud & DevOps approach, Mobility, Sustainability, High Availability…) and infrastructure components for the new solution according to the defined functional design 3. Validate project planning for all the IT technical phases and milestones (design phase, infrastructure planning deployment, application deployment) 4. Support technically all phases of the application development life cycle including research and design, development, testing (architecture validation), implementation and support 5. Launch actions towards infrastructure team in order to deliver and setup new infrastructure features or asset in line with the planing validated 6. Report risks, issues or opportunities to the IS Project leader or application owner 7. Analyze and drive infrastructure resolution in case of issue 8. Participate and support crisis to re-establish a service or an application 9. Ensure that Cyber Security, IT security and Export control requirements are taking into account in all architecture design (Security & Export control by design) 10. Monitor infrastructure and propose improvements 11. Manage obsolescence assets 12. Support Technical leader and IT operation Specialist on IM Change board decision to anticipate potential risks or problems 13.Support operational activities to secure Technical data production in time and Incident management at the level expected (SLA : 99.5, Mean Time To Resolve incident < 4.3 days,...) 14. Report to local technical team leader from Airbus India and to the TechData Authoring & Production product Owner (HO DCTB). Success Metrics: Success will be measured in a variety of areas, including but not limited to : ● Consistently ensure the on-time delivery and quality (first-time-right) of the projects ● Bring innovative cost effective solutions by proposing operational and technical improvements ● Achieve customer satisfaction ● Ability to understand the business potential of applications and provide insight to internal clients ● Ability to handle project requests from technical architecture design, infrastructure setup and tuning, Entry into service preparation and application deployment. ● Ability to challenge the needs of IT project leaders and provide appropriate solutions in line with Airbus standard and security requirements. ● Be engaged inside PSL techdata success, collaborative and innovative The role will have the following key outputs: ● Ensure that Architecture Dossiers are documented on time and quality according to the project plan. ● Strong link with the Airbus IM organization ● As a self-organized team, strong collaboration with the Airbus Dispatch team based in Toulouse ● Proactive and accountable in providing guidance & inputs for the operational roadmap ● Ensure project deliverables on time, quality and cost of all steps of the project ● Ensure that Security, Cyber Security, Export control and Airbus standards are well taken into account in all operational and project activities.
