Industrial Security Specialist

Salary-
Hybrid Industrial Security Specialist job in Hanover, Maryland is available with Moseley Technical Services top Government Services company. In this full time, direct hire, cleared job you will work from home 4 days per week and be on-site one day per week supporting DCSA’s risk-based industrial security oversight mission by providing impactful pre-Security Review research and analysis relevant to the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). Research sources vary, but are primarily limited to commercial and government databases, controlled unclassified information (CUI), and publicly available information (PAI).
Responsibilities:
- Produce impactful research and analysis of potential risks to cleared defense contractors (CDC) and Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
- Identify and report potential vulnerabilities, OPSEC or security issues associated with the CDC
- Identify and report possible violations of 32 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Part 117 requirements.
- Author professional work products and meet established deadlines.
- Provide security oversight as the primary DoD security interface for cleared contractor facilities relative to the establishment and maintenance of a security program in compliance with the NISP.
- Handle difficult, complex, and challenging industrial security issues within the NAESOC area of responsibility.
- Identify and conduct administrative inquiries of serious security violations.
- Set well-defined and realistic personal goals and display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments.
- Facilitate integration of the counterintelligence (CI) methodology into administration of the NISP and provides CI information and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen with active Top Secret security clearance
- Bachelors degree.
- 3+ years experience with security-related data systems such as the National Industrial Security System (NISS), and the Defense Information System for Security - Joint Verification System (DISS-JVS), OR three (3) years experience in intelligence or counterintelligence.
- National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) experience
- Industrial Security Experience
- 3+ years experience in program management support.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Knowledge of the principles of OPSEC and OSINT.
- Familiarity with new CUI guidance and directives.
- Ability to understand and apply the principles of research to analyze, evaluate, and interpret raw data collected from multiple sources.
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in business analysis, intelligence, counterintelligence, or industrial security.
- Familiarity with the NISP and 32 CFR NISPOM 117 requirements.
- Specialized experience for this position includes conducting inspections, surveys and investigations of government and non-governmental facilities and personnel in order to determine protection of sensitive materials, information and compliance with laws and regulations.
- Conflict Management: anticipates and takes steps to prevent counterproductive confrontations; manages and resolves conflict and disagreements in a constructive manner.
