You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities

• Simulation and mechanical testing of a curved fuselage panel

• Structure mechanics, FEM, mechanical testing, composite, damage tolerance

• The task is to compare simulation and mechanical test results of a thermoplastic frame bending panel made from carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP). Artificial damages, like delamination, are part of the simulation and test. The result is a sizing allowable and a weight estimation for a fuselage section.

• Evaluation of simulation results and comparison

• R&T team with day to day topics

Desired skills and qualifications

• Enrolled full-time student in the area of Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering  or an equivalent field of study.

• Knowledge of mechanics, processes of modelling and simulation (FEM)

• Languages: English required. German would be a plus

• Pragmatic mindset and ambition for simplicity, fair team player and capability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment

• “Can do attitude” and hunger. Eager to jump-in and get things done.

Deine Aufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten

• Simulation und mechanische Prüfung einer gebogenen Rumpfplatte

• Strukturmechanik, FEM, mechanische Prüfung, Verbundwerkstoffe, Schadenstoleranz

• Die Aufgabe besteht darin, Simulations- und mechanische Testergebnisse einer thermoplastischen Rahmenbiegeplatte aus kohlenstofffaserverstärktem Kunststoff (CFK) zu vergleichen. Künstliche Schäden wie Delamination sind Teil der Simulation und Prüfung. Das Ergebnis ist eine zulässige Größen- und Gewichtsschätzung für einen Rumpfabschnitt.

Erforderliche Kenntnisse und Qualifikationen

• Eingeschriebener Vollzeitstudent im Bereich Maschinenbau, Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik oder einer gleichwertigen Studienrichtung.

• Kenntnisse in Mechanik, Modellierungs- und Simulationsprozessen (FEM)

• Sprachen: Englisch erforderlich. Deutsch wäre von Vorteil

• Pragmatische Denkweise und Streben nach Einfachheit, fairer Teamplayer und die Fähigkeit, in einem multidisziplinären und multikulturellen Umfeld zu arbeiten

• „Können-Einstellung“ und Hunger. Ich bin begierig darauf einzuspringen und Dinge zu erledigen.
