This position has 2nd (2pm-10pm) and 3rd (10pm - 6am) shift available.

This is a Union role and the hourly rate is $31.60/hr + a shift differential depending on your shift.

Produce high quality products and services for our customers. You will assemble and inspect product to ensure the highest quality product is provided to our customers. You will be responsible for your work area to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the area. You will set up and monitor the production of product in your area and participate in the continuous improvement process at the site to address safety, production and quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set-up, operate and maintain such machines as drill press, handscrew, punch press, spot welders, engravers, shapers, lathes, tappers, hobbers, grinders, and several types of milling machines, following prescribed procedures and/or standard shop practices.
  • Judgement to set up machines, make and check parts to maintain quality standards and to report troubles to Group Leader and/or Supervisor for analysis and remedy.
  • May be required to train another operator.
  • Embrace and engage in the Honeywell Operating System (HOS) including activities, but not limited to Safety & Behavioral Observation Process (BOP), 5S, Continuous Improvement (Kaizen), Tiered Accountability Process, Standard Work, Rapid Problem Solving (RPS), Built In Quality (BIQ), Coaching, Total productive Maintenance (TPM) and Knowledge Sharing.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • High School Diploma
WE VALUE
  • Demonstrated productivity skills and abilities on current job plus 1 year experience at level "C", 200 hours of vocational machine shop training and 6 months evaluation period, or 1 year experience at level "D", with 270 hours of vocational machine shop training and 6 months evaluation period
  • 3 years of outside machine shop experience or 1038 hours of vocational machine shop training with 6 months evaluation period and 60 day review
  • Analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts
  • Complete work, follow up and appropriate reporting on responsibilities
  • Focus on important information and identify key details
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Good coordination, motor skills, and dexterity
  • Creative thinking and idea generation.
