• Duration: 6 months

We at Airbus Central Research & Technology pioneer cutting edge technologies for future airborne and spaceborne systems, providing novel functionalities whilst reducing the environmental footprint of Airbus products and services. You will join the team of our researchers working on wireless communications and networks for aerial vehicles and as well as their applications. With your contribution you will make an impact on the maturation and further development of communication systems for Airbus.

• Investigating an innovative radio frequency sensor fusion system which uses radio frequency raw data as input coming from distributed Joint Communication and Sensing (JCS) sensors in 6G.

• Evaluating sensor fusion algorithms available in scientific papers and literature with selection of the one most suitable for JCS aeronautical application.

• Implementation of the selected data fusion algorithm using Matlab or other programming languages.

• Evaluating the performances of the radio frequency sensor fusion system.

• Performing hands-on implementations and conceptual work equally.

• Enrolled full time student (d/f/m) within electrical engineering, communications engineering or computer science or a related field

• High interest in radar and sensor fusion signal processing

• Good programming skills in Matlab, C&43;&43; or Python.

• Mathematical skills to perform basic statistical evaluations e.g. position accuracy.

• Experience with Linux systems and network protocols is a plus

• Fluent in English or German
