CTC GmbH, a 100 subsidiary of Airbus, is Germany’s leading center for research and development in the design and manufacture of large, complex components of dry fibre or prepreg. At its core, the CTC develops innovative technologies for the industrial and automated processing of composites, especially CFRP. The focus is thus on application-oriented research for primary aircraft structures. However, CTC also develops technologies and holistic solutions for other industries within the scope of development and consulting projects. Your tasks and responsibilities
Cooperation in an international research project with 15 partners from industry and research
Investigation and evaluation of existing simulation methods for thermoplastic composite
depositioning
Planning, conducting and evaluating deposition trials
Implementation of simulation methods to support the deposition trials
Application of the implemented simulation methods on lightweight hydrogen systems
Desired skills and qualifications
Enrolled full-time student in the area of Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field of study.
Enthusiasm for learning new processes, technologies and software programmes
Understanding of mechanical basics and lightweight materials
Fascination for development of hydrogen powered aircrafts
Ability to work in a team and independently in a goal-oriented manner
Hands on mentality
Fluent English and German language skills
