Purpose of the position

In case of a medical assistance request, collect all necessary data and organize the logistical support with all parties involved, in order to coordinate the medical assistance in an optimal and efficient way. Foresee the necessary customer support towards guests with any medical request.

 

Main tasks & responsibilities

  • Be the point of contacts for guests with any medical request.
  • Centralize incoming demands from Insurance/Travel agencies & individual pax in order to coordinate medical assistance in an efficient way.
  • Confirm or deny request to demanding party in order to make sure Airline can take up the responsibility for the transported pax.
  • Organize logistics, communicate to and from all parties involved including follow up (resa-system, handlers BRU & Outstations, cabin crew, operating carrier in case of code-share) in order to inform all parties informed.
  • Check medical clearance, if required check the Medif (medical info form) (the most complex medical dossiers are passed to a team of medical experts); check logistic feasibility of the request (cabin constraints, ground handler constraints) in order to make sure all conditions are fulfilled.
  • Be responsible for specific ad hoc projects as assigned by the Coordinator of the team.

 

Your Profile

  • Basic operational know-how in order to check operational constraints and in order to organize logistics
  • Basic medical background by degree or through experience would be an asset
  • Fluent in English, Dutch, French. Additional language skills are a plus
  • Customer oriented, problem solver and sales driven
  • Frontline profile – able to ‘sell’ the company’s image
  • Stress resistant
  • Basic know how of Airline’s fare structures, ticketing procedures and reservation system would be an asset
  • Tolerant and flexible towards difficult and demanding customers
  • Basic computer knowledge (eg. MS Office)
  • Motivated and flexible team player
  • Rational, practical and proactive approach
  • Natural interest for customers
  • Flexible to work during weekends
