Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Role Summary:

  • Performs a series of steps in the manufacturing process of electro-mechanical system setup to run a specific program, in accordance with military specifications; ability to work on various basic jobs within home department and also proficient on multiple basic jobs outside of home department

  • Performs basic and complex electro-mechanical set up, utilizing cables, connectors, and test equipment, must be able to adjust and modify machine profiles as need to meet specification

  • Follows written specifications or operation sheet in the completion of the assigned tasks

  • Maintains records of test, quality and specification data

  • Performs other routine setups within fairly similar situations as required

  • Exercises care to ensure that each step in the process is completed correctly and that the part or finished product meets the quality specifications

  • Provides training and mentoring for other employees as required

  • Utilizes written or visual instructions involving use of quantitative information from specifications, graphs, pictures, documentation, dials, gages, etc.

  • Performs duties using a variety of small tools and related production equipment

  • Provides written and/or oral communications concerning a variety of situations

  • Keeps workstation, tools and equipment in a neat and orderly manner

  • Understands and complies with all Company, safety rules and regulations

  • Engages and participates in a self-directed teaming environment

Requirements / Knowledge

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • IPC –A-610 Certification

Experience

  • 3-5 years of operator/manufacturing experience

Skill Level Required:

  • Skills required in maintaining close tolerances, advanced specification reading, ability to operate a variety of complex machines and equipment

  • Basic computer skills

  • Good level of knowledge of manufacturing processes

  • Should possess dexterity skills, good hand and eye coordination

Eligibility Requirement

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology.  GE will require proof of status prior to employment.

  • Lean manufacturing knowledge

The base pay range for this position is $23 - $28/hr. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This posting is expected to close on April 11, 2024.
