Position Summary
Our Tube Fitting Division in Eaton, Ohio is looking for a Plater Operator in our Plating department to help keep the world moving. You must have good technical knowledge and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Starting at $18/hr. plus $1/hr. shift premium

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Will perform all required operations to process parts through electroplating and metal finishing operations. Will be required to learn how chemical tanks interact with the parts to provide a clean finish. Will be required to monitor tank temperatures, tank levels, adjust tank levels, monitor rinse tank flow rates, and adjust flow rates as needed. Will be required to lead the plating team (rackers, unrackers and material handlers) and identify/troubleshoot issues as they occur on the line to guide the team. Will be required to startup, maintain and shutdown plating line per standard work instructions. Will be required to do clean-outs and assist with routine equipment maintenance, which includes getting in tanks, removing sludge/buildup, and parts inside the tanks. In addition to these functions, the job includes all other functions that may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills
Must be able to use advanced shop math, specifications, formulas, and a variety of precision measuring instruments.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Inventory software and Manufacturing software, to input all incoming material into inventory.
