Position Summary
Inspects products and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
Responsibilities
- Selects products and tests product for variety of qualities such as dimensions, flash, short shots, contamination, burns, and color.
- Responsible for continuous auditing of production workstations
- Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures as prescribed in the Quality Control manual.
- Evaluates data and records on the in-process sheets at each assigned machine.
- Keeps the supervisor aware of any problems or potential problems in the quality of the product.
- Monitors machine operators for compliance to packaging and operating instructions.
- Properly labels all cartons of parts and makes new labels w/job changes as required.
- Log discrepancies in products in the corrective action log.
- Pack, visually inspect and weigh parts on the production floor as needed.
- Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.
- Supports continuous improvement through LEAN & HPT.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and quality requirements
- Other duties and projects as required.
- Overtime as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three to six months related experience as a Machine Operator, Material Handler, Set-up, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Some Computer skills
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Ability to work with others
