As an Ultrasonic Testing Technician, you will be responsible for conducting testing and inspections of specialty components using contact testing on components for aerospace high-performance parts applications to detect flaws, defects, and discontinuities in materials and components. You will also interpret and report results in compliance with company standards and customer specifications. As a non-destructive testing technician, you play an essential role in the prevention of failures and the safety of installations.
What You Will Do:
- Perform work in accordance with various instructions such as inspection standards, blueprints, technical orders, service bulletins, manufacturing procedures, sales orders, and other written and verbal instructions within established methods and procedures.
- Ensure that all documentation such as specifications, procedures, and forms and applicable tools, gages, and fixtures are quality-compliant and traceable.
- Operate computer terminals to retrieve, enter, or verify information.
- Improve processes and solve problems in cooperation with fellow workers and supervision.
- Keep equipment and surroundings neat, clean, and organized.
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday; 3:30pm to 12am
- Will train on 1st Shift for the initial first week of employment and then will transition to permanent shift thereafter.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the NDT field as a certified technician in at least 3 methods.
- Previous Certification to Level 2 at a minimum of one method (UT)
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with painting in an aerospace or automotive setting.
- Previous Certification to Level 2 in a minimum of other methods (PT, MT) is a plus. Ability to work towards PT and MT certifications if not already certified.
- Certified as an Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Level II, certifications to be submitted with the application per NAS410.
- Pre-existing understanding and knowledge of ultrasonic testing equipment operation.
- Familiarity with magnetic particle and penetrant inspection.

The salary range for this role $32.65 - $41.04 per hour; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
