Work with forming machines and presses. Set up and break down production tools and production aids. Use gauges, scales, calipers, and other measuring equipment to check the parts and follow work orders, setup cards, and other instructions for work processes. Perform daily maintenance on machines, including maintaining fluid levels, emptying chips, and wiping down machines to remove coolant, dust, and debris. Check and monitor the parts that are being run. Deburr and blend all parts that are machined.

  • Perform daily maintenance on machines, including maintaining fluid levels, emptying chips, and wiping down machines to remove coolant, dust, and debris.
  • Check and monitor the parts that are being run.
  • Deburr and blend all parts that are machined.
  • Capability to read the basic dimensions and tolerances of blueprints.
  • Math skills to perform basic calculations.
  • Ability to read measuring equipment (Calipers/Micrometers).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or high school equivalency.
  • 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of the aerospace industry preferred.
  • Trade school for machining practices would be preferred.

Work Environment

Assembly/Machine Operating. Hours are Monday to Thursday from 6 am to 4:30 pm standard shift. Mandatory overtime may apply, including potential 12-hour shifts to catch up from holidays and absenteeism from inclement weather in the short term. The environment is non-climate controlled and involves cutting metals, which can be dirty depending on the task. It is very hot in the summer months. PPE requirements include steel-toe shoes, eye/ear protection, and the ability to sit or stand for extended periods. The facility has 12 work centers, 3 teams, each with a lead. The work includes handling Gulfstream parts, finishing stringers for the fuselage, and working on Boeing 777 projects. Employees will rotate every 3 months to each work area to avoid burnout.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
