Pushback Driver

Job Description:

As an ALS special vehicle driver, individuals have a range of responsibilities and duties. They are required
to have excellent communication skills and driving skill, as they interact with various stakeholders involved
in aircraft maintenance operations. Special vehicle drivers must be proficient in operating ground support
equipment and adhere to safety guidelines to prevent accidents and damage to aircraft or infrastructure.

Operational activities
➢ The primary duty of a special vehicle driver is driving the pushback truck towing the aircraft to
assign spot safely.
➢ Special vehicle driver should possess a strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and
the ability to work effectively under pressure
➢ Special vehicle drivers must be familiar with ALS and Shuangliu airport layout, taxiway markings,
and the standard operating procedures followed during pushback operations.
➢ Besides towing aircraft, the special vehicle driver also operates the other special vehicles when
ALS in production activities. It includes but not limited to pickup trucks, Ground Power vehicles,
and PaxStair vehicle.
➢ When there is no drive task, the driver needs to assist the GSE personnel to maintain ground
equipment.
➢ Other tasks assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications

• Education: High school or above
• Experience: At least 2 years experience as pushback driver in airlines or MRO without
major accident.
• Basic Skills:

Basic skill of computer, office or google software.
B2 drive license or above.

Ability

• Soft Skills:
Fluent in Mandarin
• Technical Skills:
Knowledge of pushback vehicle systems.
The car repairing skill and with forklift licence is a plus.
