Role Introduction
Purpose
To actively support the Regional Head of Airports by undertaking regional duties including finance, invoicing, logistics and general administration tasks to achieve economies of scale with one resource performing the same function consistently for multiple airports across the region.
To be responsible for generating monthly regional and ports performance report cards and support Global Airports Management with news articles for internal publication.
Key Responsibilities
Safety First, Quality Always
- To be aware of and follow daily routine works, the relevant local Health and Safety at Work Act, and the Airline’s global and local Health and Safety policies to ensure compliance is maintained at all times
- Support regional airport management to identify and mitigate personal, safety and security risks in the workplace for staff (suppliers included) by promoting and developing a culture of zero tolerance on safety and security incidents
Administration, Finance and procurement
- Support the regional airport offices for office maintenance related issues as required
- Maintain inventory control and replenishment for the regional airport offices’ equipment including personal computers, mobile devices, laptops, etc.
- Assist with duty travel administrative issues for airport employees in the regional airport offices
- Assist and support the regional airport offices for purchasing and procurement activities with the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, e.g. check-in, boarding gate, baggage and ramp related stocks and associated stationery ordering as required
- Work with the Finance team and support the regional airport offices for cash flow and inventory control
- Work with the Finance team to assist the airports to process the requirements for setting up purchasing channels of respective expenses and also invoice settlement
- Assist to process the regional airport offices’ related operational expenses, invoices and billing tracking and verification e.g. passenger consumed meal coupons, hotel and transportation expenses during flight disruption, office rental fee, airport authorities and government officials related charges
Budget
- Support the Regional Head of Airports in the annual budget preparation and coordinate with the relevant airports as required
Regional and Ports Performance Report Cards
- To compile and generate monthly regional and ports performance report cards, and assist the Regional Head of Airports for preparing monthly regional airports performance highlights for reporting to Airport Service Delivery
The Hub Stories
- To support the Global Airports Management and the support team for regional consolidation and author articles for publication on The Hub on a regular basis
Uniform and Training Coordination
- Liaise with the region’s airport offices and be responsible for logistics and coordination with Head Office for uniform orders, replacement and inventory control for both Cathay and Ground Handling Agent employees
- Be the point of contact for Head Office and the regional airport offices for airport Cathay employees including Ground Handling Agents for training coordination and associated logistics
Activities Coordination
- Assist and support on special events, regional meetings and conference logistics as and when required

Cost efficiency and productivity
- Assist the Regional Head of Airports to support region’s airport offices to drive down costs in day-to-day operations
- Undertake any other reasonable task as required
E&A
- Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required
Academic qualifications
- Post-secondary school or tertiary education certification is desirable
- High school graduation is a minimum standard is required
Knowledge, skills, training and experience
- 1 - 2 years of administrative working experience, preferably in airlines or airport services
- Experience in general finance and invoicing related activities
- Good analytical and numerical skills
- Good computer literacy including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrable ability to work independently
- Experience in being a committed and effective team player
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to express themselves clearly with good presentation and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems
- Highly flexible and spontaneous so as to meet the changing needs of the role and function
