Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Security Coordinator 4 to join our team of talented and diverse individuals at our Roy, Utah location and supports the Strategic Deterrent System (SDS) Division. The successful candidate will support the SAP industrial security PERSEC (personnel security) team.

As a Security Coordinator 4, you will further the success of our programs to help Northrop Grumman leave the boundaries of whats known and solve tomorrows problems.

What You’ll Get to Do

  • Produces employee and guest badges, identification cards, and security reader cards
  • Processes security information and data for employment records, security clearances, and property control
  • Collects and submits electronic fingerprints, handprints and optical reading into systems
  • Maintains lock and key records
  • Processes visit authorizations for employees and guests to gain access to restricted areas
  • Verifies accuracy of information prior to issuing clearances
  • Maintains controlled security documents and information

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance(investigation date within 6 years) or be enrolled in the DoD continuous evaluation program at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP), approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
  • Basic understanding of 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM rule and DoDM 5205.07 V1-4 L

These Qualification Would Be Nice to Have

  • Top Secret Clearance
  • Previous SAP experience
  • Completed security training (ex. CDSE) is a plus
  • Proficient with ESIS/SIMS.L Basic knowledge of access controls and security systems
  • Working knowledge of the JADE database.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of SAP PAR process desired
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Should be organized and efficient at time management
  • Ability to display tact, discretion, and diplomacy in a variety of program areas
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills, speaking, writing skills and organizational skills enabling effective communications
  • Ability to follow process and procedures
Salary Range: $50,500 - $84,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
