About Position / Position Summary
The Boeing IT&DA ITAR Application Compliance workstream is currently looking for a senior level Project Manager to join their team in Bangalore, India.
This role will be based out of Bengaluru, India.
Ensure and support application compliance to the new requirements coming from the 2024 Consent Agreement.
Track to closure identified latent export compliance defects that will be assigned to the application / product owners to handle.
Follow up and track to closure with respective stakeholders (eg. Software Chapter, Information Security, Product Management Chapter) where necessary get built whatever tools, patterns, blueprints, and best practices that product owners can use to ease the transition to compliance
Coordinate with all stakeholder functions, both within and beyond the IT&DA, Engineering, Global Trade Controls, Information Security organization, to ensure full and timely completion of obligations related to the Application Compliance Workstream under the consent agreement.
Accountable for timely, accurate, periodic status and progress reporting of overall ITAR application compliance workstream which is very critical.
Leads the assigned initiatives using Project Management best practices. Includes developing and executing plans, policies, and procedures from a project management perspective. Monitors appropriate metrics to ensure performance to plan of the various workstream initiatives.
Identify risks, issues, and opportunities and mitigation of identified risks related to the success of the application compliance workstream.
Proactively seek out information and data from the application teams and other relevant stakeholders for various time critical tasks that might be assigned from time to time.
Proactively communicates with project sponsors, executives, senior management and all relevant stakeholders.
Should be able to work independently, make decisions when needed and execute with minimal supervision.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION
10+ years of experience in leading large-scale cross-functional projects, initiatives including product management, quality, export compliance and/or information security.
5+ years of experience planning and executing project management initiatives and optimization projects related to export compliance (ITAR, EAR etc) and/or information security.
A demonstrated ability to manage Information Technology initiatives in a complex global environment.
Strong leadership, partnering, and organizational change skills; Program and Project management best practices and operational discipline
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Strong Project/Program Management experience
Should have worked in a globally distributed IT organization
Knowledge / familiarity with EAR/ITAR and export control requirements.
Experience working in the Aerospace/Aviation industry or within a Compliance function
Experience with SharePoint, Teams, Digital Technology platforms and Project Management tools (i.e. Microsoft Project, Jira).
Strong organizational/follow-up skills and ability to prioritize and drive multiple and diverse tasks to closure concurrently.
