This position is with the Skunk Works Mission program where the selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Designing, developing and overseeing software system architectures, including complex systems and systems design activities.
- Serving as focal point for the development and communication of the software system architecture.
- Ensuring conversion of mission requirements into total systems solutions that account for design and technology maturity constraints of the system.
- Developing systems and system element architecture, design, and interface definition.
- Supporting internal and external design reviews.
- Maintaining knowledge of current and developing technologies and design and analysis methodologies.
- Developing models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development.
Success in this role requires a combination of team work, independence, and flexibility. The preferred candidate must be a self-starter with good communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally, and the ability to efficiently manage time and tasks. The candidate will work cross-functionally with other engineering disciplines, as well as with program leadership and external customers and suppliers.

Basic Qualifications:
- BS from an accredited college (Technology or Aerospace Related)
- 9 years related professional work experience
- Experience leading software development projects and/or architectures
- Knowledge of Architecture best practices and principles
Desired Skills:
- Experience with MBSE best practices
- 6+ years experience with software architectures
- Experience working across both hardware and software architectures
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
