Job Description:
Summary
Works closely with nurses and Physician to complete administrative and clinical tasks including maintenance of Medical records.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Record patient history and personal information
- Measure vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse
- Give patients injections or medications as directed by physicians and as permitted by state law
- Schedule patient appointments
- Prepare blood samples for laboratory tests
- Enter patient information into medical records and maintain records
- Perform daily calibration on spirometry, audiometer, alchomonitor
- Perform vision screenings, audiograms and pulmonary function testing
- Track and order medical supplies
- Contact candidates re late/missing paperwork
- Order pre-employment drug screens and perform random drug screens
- Access Quest data base to obtain drug screen results
You Must Have
- Associates degree or certification as a medical assistant and 3 years of experience or high school diploma with a minimum of 5 years experience as a Medical Assistant or work in the Medical field.
