Description:IAM Hourly represented employees who currently work at the main (Sunnyvale/Palo Alto) unit, Santa Cruz, VAFB or Eastern Range facilities must apply to open requisitions on Brass Ring to be considered for the position.
OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY
Perform manual and semi-automatic operations in the manufacture and rework of surface mount technology (SMT) and mixed technology (such as SMT with Plated Through Hole) printed wiring assemblies and related technologies using computer aided and manually operated machinery. Perform equipment set-up, operations and product and process verification.
WORK PERFORMED
In addition to work described in the lower-level Surface Mount and Mixed Technology classification, and including manual and semi-automated operations:
Perform component lot-date-code and traceability per engineering requirements.
Form SMT components using manual and automated tools. Perform SMT component tinning process.
Perform solder paste dispensing operation using semi-automatic dispensing tool.
Set-up and place SMT components with semi-automated machinery.
Set-up and operate batch hot nitrogen reflow ovens for solder paste reflow and adhesive curing.
Perform local reflow process using hot nitrogen tool to solder and rework SMT components.
Basic Qualifications:
• Complete knowledge of semi-automated/programmable systems as they apply to SMT and mixed technology manufacturing operations described.
• Must possess and maintain certification in advanced soldering and SMT production techniques.
• Must have successfully completed training program in advanced soldering rework, SMT theory and manual techniques.
• Typically requires three years of experience in PTH assembly production and two years of LMMS-certified SMT semi-automated operations experience.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
The base range for this position in California is $22.13 - $37.33.
