Working with the Talent Management Team, the Talent Advisor, Campus Programs will build long-term relationships with targeted Universities, Tech institutes, colleges, and high schools to maintain a pipeline of exceptional talent for internships/co-ops and early career programs. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for educational institutions, student groups and associations, as well as internal De Havilland stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and implement Internship/Co-op Programs including full cycle hiring and professional development activities designed to expose hires to the organization and industry.
- Conduct internal and external spanet research to ensure target schools and academic programs are recommended and aligned to meet the organization’s talent needs.
- Work with Department Leaders and Human Resource Business Partners to determine annual hiring projections, scope of the positions, meaningful projects, budget for early career programs.
- Partner with internal clients to develop a tailored recruitment strategy of targeted events and programs to ensure an exceptional candidate experience.
- Research and analyze various programs, industry associations, diversity and inclusion partnerships, sponsorships, scholarships, and grants that are meaningful for both the organization and candidate.
- Plan and attend career fairs both in-person and virtually, coordinate/host employer information sessions, and participate in other events as required, throughout the year to build the student talent pipeline.
- Partner with our current Talent Acquisition team to provide full cycle recruitment support for early career programs.
- Act as a champion for diversity in the workplace, including actively finding ways to increase diversity within student and new grad talent pools.
- Partner closely with the Training and Development team to identify necessary learning paths for interns and new graduates.
- Work with the Human Resource Business Partners to facilitate our internship and new grad experience from onboarding through to mid-point reviews and final assessments.
- Develop internal brand ambassadors at De Havilland and ensure they are trained appropriately to engage with campus networks.
- Maintain and distribute inventory of recruiting materials, giveaways, and update inventory list.
- Utilize Applicant Tracking to report on ROI, KPI’s and DE&I and measure success of the recruitment process and campus initiatives.
Education and Professional Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in HR, Business, or related discipline.
Experience
- 3+ years of prior experience in the development and execution of early career and university recruitment strategies, preferably with Engineering disciplines.
- Experience in university recruitment and maintaining relationships with schools (includes: career centers, professors, university leadership, and student organizations).
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce ATS is considered a significant asset.

- Proficiency in the following competencies: ability to attract and retain talent, understanding of the business, and building relationships.
- A strong interest in event planning (onsite and virtual) and spaneting is required.
- Strong project management and the ability to quickly understand internal and external systems and platforms.
- Willingness to travel, be mobile to attend on campus events and career fairs.
- Confident presentation/facilitation skills to deliver key messages to large audiences, public and private.
- Expertise in the use of social media (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed, Twitter, Facebook) for recruitment campaigns.
