Description:The Tax product owner role reports to the Financial Transformation and Systems (FT&S) organization and will focus on leading F&BO process and systems transformation. As part of LMs overall strategic initiative, this position will work closely with the IT ERP product teams to provide solutions, ensure that capabilities meet the business requirements, and play a leadership role in supporting the Record to Report (R2R) in evolving our Tax capabilities and reshaping our operations. This role provides an exciting opportunity to increase knowledge of the inner workings of S4 ERP, Oracle EPM, and Vertex and how they interact with the rest of the LM F&BO processes and system landscape.

This role will be key in implementing an overall vision for the Tax subteam, capitalizing on best practices, and guiding activities. The product owner will partner with cross-functional teams to implement the tools and processes that were defined in our detail design phase.. This individual is expected to have significant experience with corporate income taxes and/or indirect taxes such as state sales tax, VAT, or other consumption-based taxes.

The role includes but is not limited to the following:

• Managing the functional requirements and schedule for the tax-related deliverables under RTR
• Testing and configuration of automation opportunities in S4, Vertex, and Oracle EPM
• Leading a team of part-time and full-time functional analysts in support of the program schedule
• Directing the technical analysts to ensure the functional requirements of the tax-related tools and processes are followed
• Coordinating with internal teams and functions to confirm the definition of requirements

Other duties will be assigned as required to support the organization. The ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse assignments is required.
Basic Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in Tax, Accounting, or in the support of financial systems
• Forward thinker, growth mindset, change agent
• Understand transformation objectives and how to align future state processes to achieve business outcomes
• Familiar with financial systems such as SAP
• Ability to execute assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision & direction
• Ability to execute in an agile fashion/handle change in direction
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an expert, authority in discipline.
Desired Skills:
• Expert in R2R processes and/or financial systems
• Experience with SAP conversion projects
• Familiarity with the Agile framework
• Experience with Oracle EPM, Hyperion, Vertex, OWM or OneSource
• Experience or support within the 1LMX program
• Highly effective communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Prior project leadership

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $129,700 - $244,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $112,800 - $216,100 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
