Description:Requires customer interface, classroom and laboratory instruction, training reports and presentations related to ASW/USW/AWS/ACS systems for multiple International Program (FMS) platforms.

The individual will provide instruction on maintenance and operation of the SQQ-89 Undersea Warfare Combat System to junior Sonar Technicians at US Navy Combat System Engineering & Development Site (CSEDS).

This position requires the development of Curriculum materials for International Programs on the Operations & Maintenance of the AN/SQQ-89 and components of the Aegis Combat System. Additional responsibility include, but not limited to, instructor led training, development of course content, student learning objectives; preparation of course syllabi, lesson plans, testing, and student manuals. Evaluating training materials, procedures and makes or recommends revisions to keep courses material up to date on software and equipment design

Basic Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Candidate will have at least 3 years of experience as an instructor and/or curriculum developer.
Be familiar with NAVEDTRA 131 naval training standards and instructional system design.
Can help create and update lesson plans, trainee guides, and presentation materials and instruct in both classroom and laboratory environments.
The individual must be a graduate of any ASW or AN/SQQ-89 Operation and Maintenance course. Must have the ability to discuss the ASW/USW in terms of operational and tactical concepts and have field experience in operation and/or repair of the SQQ-89 Sonar Suite.
Candidate must have an active secret security clearance.

Qualified as Master Training Specialist
Experience with ASW Advanced Warfare Training 2.1-2.4.
Experience and knowledge of NAVSEA forward fit/Backfit and FMS AN/SQQ-89(V) sonar system equipment, including (V)10, (V)14, (V)15, A(V)15, AN/SQQ-28, AN/SQR-19, SIPS, IPS, MK116, MK32 and AN/SQS-53C. Applicant must possess at least 8 years of AN/SQQ-89(V) working experience.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
